How to Vote

Vote by Internet or Telephone in this Municipal Election

Voting in Newmarket is more convenient and accessible than ever! For Newmarket's 2018 Municipal Election, you can vote using any internet connected PC or mobile device, or by touch-tone telephone from 10 a.m. on October 13 to 8 p.m. on October 22.

If you are an eligible elector on the Municipal Voters' List, you will receive a Voter Instruction Letter in the fall which contains your unique Voting PIN needed to cast your ballot. Visit the web address or call the telephone number indicated on the Voter Instruction Letter to access your ballot. You will need to correctly enter your Voting PIN and date of birth to begin voting.

You can vote anywhere, anytime from Saturday, October 13 starting at 10 a.m. until Monday, October 22 ending at 8 p.m. 

Not sure if you’re on the Municipal Voters List?

Visit www.voterlookup.ca/ to check if your municipal voter information is up-to-date, and ensure corrections are made, if needed. If there are persons on the Municipal Voters' List for your household who no longer live at your address, it is important to contact MPAC as soon as possible to report these changes.  

Need Assistance with Voting? 

For those who require special assistance, the Town of Newmarket will offer Voter Assistance Centres available from October 19 to 22. Locations and times of Voter Assistance Centres will be indicated in your Voter Instruction Letter. You are encouraged to use Internet and Telephone voting options wherever you are -at home, at work, in transit, etc. Please note that there will be no paper ballots for this Municipal Election.
